Leipzig is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. The city itself is very special, and one is not surprised as to why Goethe and Schiller once moved here and what inspired their many pieces of literature. Leipzig is known to have had an urban character since the Middle Ages.
Leipzig has now about 530,000 inhabitants, including many singles of who enjoy city life. Especially students are drawn to the university town; many of which have come as single to Leipzig to study. They are seeking a partner and maybe dating in Leipzig may indeed prove to be successful. However, one question comes to mind: Where to go out in the city?
For a first date at a cozy restaurant, the place to go to is: -€œAuerbach’s Keller-€ – certainly one of the most famous restaurants in Germany. -€œAuerbach’s Keller-€ is where the key scene in Goethe’s Faust took place. The inn however, is worth seeing not only for fans of literature. The old vault of -€œAuerbach’s Keller-€ dates back to the 16th Century and therefore exudes an atmosphere of its own.
But so do other attractions in the historic city; such as the Battle Monument, the Russian Church, which was built in honor of the fallen soldiers of the Battle of Leipzig, or the Church of St. Nicholas, in which the peaceful riots against the East German regime were once planned. Certainly a thing not to be missed is a visit to the Gewandhaus Orchestra, which would make for a special date night out.
